Silk Road International School proudly participated in the major international sports tournament “Maktab Sport Cup”, hosted by Central Asian University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The event brought together more than 2,000 participants from 100 schools across Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Russia.
Our school competed in three sports: football, table tennis, and swimming, with a total of 12 dedicated and talented students representing us on the international stage.
Football
Our football team consisted of: Abai Foss, Riman Toychubekov, Ulugbek Vahidov, Damir Muratov, Alishakh Erkebaev, Ali Adanov, Ergeshev Alikhan, Akbar Narbekov, Temirbekov Beksultan. The boys demonstrated teamwork, discipline, and determination, finishing in a respectable 8th place among strong regional teams.
Table Tennis
Aibiike Kochkorova delivered an impressive performance and achieved 5th place, ranking among the best players in the tournament.
Swimming
Our swimmers also showed excellent results:
Aisuna Almazova — 2nd place and a prize of 2,400,000 UZS
Latipzhanov Iskhak — strong performance and valuable experience
We are incredibly proud of each student for their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. Events like this strengthen friendships, build character, and connect young athletes from across Central Asia.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Central Asian University for the invitation and the outstanding organization of the tournament. It was an inspiring experience and a meaningful opportunity for our students.
